In this book you will find single page stories that will stay with you a long time. I have enjoyed them. The history of our country’s beginning is fascinating to me. A lot of families living in the “Old West,” could not afford to buy books. But by sharing stories people were informed of things going on in our country and around the world. Anyone new coming into any town was met with much anticipation.
This book is one that young children and adults can enjoy. I don’t think I could eat skunk meat as is in one story. “Away Prospecting” gave me the shivers when I read about how they found out where their potatoes were going.
